Samantha Smiley is the senior administrative assistant to Aude Oliva, the MIT director of the MIT-IBM Computing Research Lab, where she collaborates with both lab researchers and operations teams. Prior to joining MIT, Smiley was part of an affordable housing non-profit in New Hampshire, where she assisted with conferences, data research and management, and worked closely with the executive team. Previously, she was assistant to the dean of engineering at the Volgenau School of Engineering, George Mason University. She received her BA from George Mason University and a graduate certificate from Northeastern.
